What the Canvas Agent can do
Read repositories, pull requests, and issues.The GitHub connector is read-only.
The Canvas Agent cannot change anything in your repositories.
Access this connector grants
Installing the Honeycomb GitHub App
To complete this task, you must be a Team Owner.
- Navigate to Canvas > Connectors.
- Find GitHub in the connector list and select Connect.
- Authorize the Honeycomb GitHub App for your GitHub organization.
- Choose the Honeycomb Teams, Environments, and Datasets to connect.
A GitHub organization admin must approve the Honeycomb GitHub App.
If you do not hold that role, ask an admin in your GitHub organization to approve it.
Connecting your GitHub account
- Navigate to Canvas > Connectors.
- Find GitHub in the connector list.
- Select Connect.
- Authorize the Honeycomb GitHub App for your account.
Account > My account > Canvas Integrations also connects your GitHub account.
Use the Connectors page instead, where every Canvas connector is set up.
Turning GitHub on or off
- In a Canvas chat, select the plus (
+) button. - Choose Connectors.
- Use the toggle beside GitHub.
Disconnecting GitHub
- Navigate to Canvas > Connectors.
- Find GitHub and select Manage.
- Select Disconnect.
