Connect your Pylon account to let the Canvas Agent use customer support context during an investigation.
Connectors work on a per-user basis. You connect your own account and the Canvas Agent uses the connected tool as your account. Connecting a tool does not connect it for anyone else on your Honeycomb Team. There are no Team-level connector controls yet.

What the Canvas Agent can do

  • Read support issues and accounts.
  • File or update support issues.
The Canvas Agent reads from a connected tool without asking. Before it creates, updates, or deletes anything there, it asks you to approve that specific call. To learn more, visit Approving write actions.

Before you connect

The Canvas Agent reaches Pylon through the Pylon MCP server, which has two requirements:
  • A Pylon admin must enable MCP for your Pylon organization.
  • Your Pylon account must hold the MCP Access role.
Without both, the connection still succeeds, but the Canvas Agent cannot use Pylon. Pylon reports no status that distinguishes this case, so verify both before you connect.

  1. Navigate to Canvas > Connectors.
  2. Find Pylon in the connector list.

  4. Authorize Honeycomb from the Pylon authorization page.
Pylon shows a Connected badge once the connection succeeds.
