Requirements

  • Must be a Team Owner to create a pipeline in the Honeycomb UI
  • Have a Kubernetes version 1.24+ cluster, with access to send outbound requests to Honeycomb
  • Use Helm version 3.9+

Create a Pipeline

To create a new pipeline:
  1. Log in to the Honeycomb UI.
  2. In the left navigation menu, select Manage Data.
  3. In the list, locate and select Pipelines.
  4. In the upper right, select the New Pipeline button.
  5. Enter a name & description for your pipeline. Then, select the Create button.
  6. Follow the Initial setup steps in the Honeycomb UI to install the pipeline infrastructure.

Initial Configuration

After you install the Pipeline, select Continue under the Configure the Pipeline step. Here you will see the pipeline’s current Installed Configuration. Since this is a new pipeline, its initial configuration is very basic. You can select individual components to open a sidebar and display their settings.
