This feature is available as an add-on for the Honeycomb Enterprise plan.
This feature is in beta.
Please contact your Honeycomb account team for details.
How it works

- You create and manage pipeline configuration (OTel Collector and Refiner configuration) in Honeycomb.
- Pipeline configuration is deployed to your installation’s Beekeeper, which applies configuration to OTel Collectors and Refinery instances in your environment.
- Your pipeline processes and sends telemetry to your Honeycomb environment.
- Internal pipeline telemetry is automatically sent to a separate Honeycomb environment so you can monitor your pipeline’s health.
Key features
- UI-hosted management: Configuration is managed through a centralized Honeycomb interface — no self-hosted UI is required.
- OpenTelemetry-native configuration: Parse logs, enrich and filter data, and route to multiple destinations using intuitive drag-and-drop UI components. Behind the scenes, these components translate your configuration to define pipelines using standard OTel processors, receivers, exporters, and extensions.
- Tail-based sampling with Refinery: Pipeline Builder natively integrates with Refinery, Honeycomb’s sophisticated trace tail-sampling engine, allowing you to reduce costs by sampling repetitive data while keeping the information you need most.
