# Connect incident.io to Canvas

> Connect your incident.io account so the Canvas Agent can read incidents, alerts, and on-call schedules during an investigation.

Connect your incident.io account to let the Canvas Agent bring incident context into an investigation.

<Tip>
  Connectors work on a per-user basis.
  You connect your own account and the Canvas Agent uses the connected tool as your account.
  Connecting a tool does not connect it for anyone else on your Honeycomb Team.
  There are no Team-level connector controls yet.

## What the Canvas Agent can do

* Read incidents, alerts, and on-call schedules.
* File or update incidents.

<Note>
  The Canvas Agent reads from a connected tool without asking.
  Before it creates, updates, or deletes anything there, it asks you to approve that specific call.

## Connecting incident.io

1. Navigate to <HnyIcon alias="canvas" /> **Canvas** > **Connectors**.
2. Find **incident.io** in the connector list.
3. Select **Connect**.
4. Authorize Honeycomb from the incident.io authorization page.

incident.io shows a **Connected** badge once the connection succeeds.

## Turning incident.io on or off

1. In a Canvas chat, select the <HnyIcon alias="add" /> plus (`+`) button.
2. Choose **Connectors**.
3. Use the toggle beside **incident.io**.

## Disconnecting incident.io

1. Navigate to <HnyIcon alias="canvas" /> **Canvas** > **Connectors**.
2. Find **incident.io** and select **Manage**.
3. Select **Disconnect**.
